Oh Jeez. Just yesterday I remember it being 91 and craaaazy humid.
Today was a whole other story! It was FREEZING. From 91 (yesterday) to 54 (today).
Eeeew! >.< Mother nature has really taken me for a spin.
Where did the steady weather go?
So lately, I've been going to the gym again to get back into shape for tennis season :)
I didn't realize how much weight I would drop! I went from being 100 LB to 95!!!
Now, for being a 5'4'' girl, I'm REALLY skinny. I'm becoming concerned... haha
Due to my weight loss, I decided to share in my "secrets" to staying lean and fit!
The obvious thing that I must stress is to eat HEALTHY.
My family used to eat really badly but my mom wanted to change so our diet plan reflected just that.
Fruits are just as good as candies and sweets and veggies aren't as bad as some people make them out to be! (Believe me, I found that out the hard way... Hehe!)
As far as working out goes, start small :)
Typically, I see people at the gym just BLASTING it on the machines and when they're all pooped out and wondering how on earth I can outlast them, the answer is truly simple. I built up my stamina to a point where I can go on and on forever. :P
When I began going to the gym, I would start off with a good 10 minutes of cardio (I prefer running). It gets the heart pumping, which really gets the sweat going! Slowly but surely, I add on a couple of minutes each time to build up strength and endurance.
After my cardio, I try to tone up! (I love having a flat stomach, therefore, I gotta keep it up!)
For the stomach/ abs I do this machine that basically, has you suspended in the air and you lift your legs towards your body. It's basically like doing flying crunches! And again, start off slow. Try 5 forwards, 5 sideways to the right, & 5 sideways to the left. Then gradually add more. :)
Oh! And don't forget to give yourself a little time to cool down. Take that time to stretch out and take a breather.
Let me know if you have any questions or if you're wondering about other workouts for different body types. I'd be glad to help!
